Alyssa K. Schabloski

 

Alyssa K. Schabloski is a trial lawyer and Of Counsel with Nelson & Fraenkel. She practices primarily in employment civil rights, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and medical negligence. Alyssa was the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) 2016 “Rising Star” after being a Finalist in 2014 and 2015. She has been named a Top 100 Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star and Top 50 Women Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2016–2019, a Super Lawyers Rising Star beginning in 2010, and a Super Lawyer beginning in 2020.

Alyssa serves on the CAALA Board of Governors and is a past Chair of the New Lawyers Committee. She is a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, and Korean American Bar Association. Alyssa also served as 2020 President of the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities and President of the Cowboy Lawyers Association from 2019–2021. Alyssa is admitted to practice in California, Arizona, and New York, as well as various federal district courts.

Alyssa received her JD from UCLA, where she received the Morris Greenspan Memorial Prize in International Law. Alyssa served as Editor-in-Chief of the UCLA Journal of International Law & Foreign Affairs as well as a managing editor for the Journal of Sexual Orientation Law (now The Dukeminier Awards Journal of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Law). After law school, Alyssa was selected as a Fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

Alyssa also obtained her Master of Public Health at UCLA, where she was awarded the Ruth J. Roemer Award for Social Justice. Alyssa completed her Bachelor of Arts at Barnard College, Columbia University, and obtained a Certificate in International Relations from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).

In her free time, Alyssa enjoys horseback riding, yoga, all kinds of dining, learning new languages, and traveling. But the best is snuggling with her adorable four-pound rescue Yorkie, Gigi.
